In line with our commitment to experiential learning and developing well-rounded citizens, pupils from Fahari Elite Pre and Primary School recently enjoyed an educational visit to the Parliament of Tanzania exhibition pavilion at the Sabasaba International Trade Fair.
The visit aimed to provide our pupils with a practical understanding of how the legislative branch of the government operates and its crucial role in national development.
Key Learnings from the Visit:
During the guided tour at the Parliament stand, our pupils received interactive lessons on:
- Roles and Responsibilities of Parliament: Understanding the fundamental functions of Parliament, including overseeing government activities, representation, and passing national budgets.
- The Law-Making Process: Learning step-by-step how a Bill is drafted, debated, and eventually enacted into law.
- Civic Participation in Development: The importance of individual citizen engagement in national progress and how citizens contribute ideas through their elected representatives.
